The Spirits Speak – Do You?

Spirits of our dearly departed, our loved ones in heaven, speak up and out on a regular basis. They are constantly reaching out in an attempt to make a connection and when they do connect, they sure do speak up and out!

My business is sustained primarily through ‘word of mouth’ and I know for a fact, many of my clients have been referred to me via their loved ones in spirit, (speaking up and out) of which I am appreciative.

However, we, the ‘collective people’ we, could certainly benefit from more conversations and sharing of feelings.

Not too many people are speaking up and out. Those in spirit are. People… not so much.

Call Your Father

Yes, you read that correctly – call your father. While the recognized phrase may be “call your mother”, call you father has a comforting ring to it, especially when calling your mother is no longer an option, unless of course you place a call to the spirit realm, which is a possibility.

For the sake of this article, I will focus on the value of calling your father, in times of need, or in times or joy.

My mother, Leah’s death was sudden and tragic. It shook me to my core. In addition to sending

me into a state of denial and overwhelming grief, her death stripped me of any and all connection with her (or so I thought at the time). Often I would reach for the telephone to call her, forgetting she would no longer be on the other end of the line, only to put down the receiver. The reminder of her absence would become too much to bear.

The Lightness of Being – Give & Receive the Gift of Forgiveness

Many of us go to the grave harboring resentment and never have an opportunity to say I’m sorry. Believe us when we say as soon as you arrive in the afterlife, there you are.

So what does that mean, you may be thinking?

It means you carry yourself with you wherever you go. What we were unable to ‘work’ on in the flesh, we can work out in the spirit. Our personality, grudges, and love, among many quirks and attributes, remain a part of us in the afterlife.

Many of us have never been given an opportunity to ask for forgiveness, nor offer forgiveness because you will not listen, you cannot hear our voices, we knock yet no one answers. We intend to change all that. We are reaching out and those who choose to listen, hear, and be of service are helping us. Forgiveness is the key to living a rich, rewarding life of happiness. Help us. Help you.”

For That I Am Grateful

There once was a time when I could not fathom the thought of living without my mother. I was much younger then and my mother was alive and vibrant. She and I were two peas in a pod and life, despite our growing pains, was sweet.

My mother is dead. Well, her physical body has returned to whence it came, the soil, but her spirit remains alive and vibrant. I am no longer able to hug or hold her, but I am able to spend time with her and call upon her guidance. For that I am grateful.

There is an expression “You don’t know what you don’t know”. I never knew back then, when I could not fathom the thought of living without my mother, that I wouldn’t have to. I did not know one’s spirit lives on, remaining ever present, even after the physical body has returned to whence it came. I also did not know I could be even closer to my mother in spirit than I was when we walked this earth plane together. You don’t know what you don’t know – until you do, that is.

The Spirits Speak on Success

What is the first thought that comes to mind when you hear someone speak about success? What do you think it would take for you to feel successful?

You have your own definition or interpretation of success and your own markers. What does success look like? What does success feels like? What does it take to achieve success? Is it a meaningful relationship, a profession that pays well and nourishes one’s soul? How much forethought and planning is required?

The markers change as the years roll by and as you achieve success in one area of your life and subsequently in another area. You find your mate and cultivate a meaningful relationship, work toward and achieve that ideal job or business, and then you decide to focus on creating financial security, to carry you through retirement. Your markers change as your life changes.

As your markers change, so do your needs, wants and desires. Your perception of success ebbs and flows. You may not even think about ‘success’ all that much.

But what if you were presented with insight from those who have gone before us, concerning the very idea of success? Read More

(There’s No Place Like) Home For The Holidays

Oh, there’s no place like home for the holidays
‘Cause no matter how far away you roam
When you pine for the sunshine of a friendly gaze
For the holidays you can’t beat home sweet home*

Every time I hear that song I am transported back in time to the days of yore. Transported back to the days of my mother happily preparing for the holidays, bedecked in a Christmas apron, decorating the house in her usual flair and baking all sorts of cookies and sweet treats. As far as I was concerned, my mother, Leah, was the star on the top of our Christmas tree; her jolly presence set the house ‘aglow’.
