2020 Vision

There is déjà vu, there is jamais vu and there is even presque vu, but the best of all is “ancestry vu”. It is delightful when you experience déjà vu, jamais vu, or presque vu, however, nothing compares with ancestry vu; viewing a situation through the lenses and experiences of your loved ones in spirit.

Picture this: you are in the midst of a crisis, you’re not aware of how you arrived there, nor do you know where to turn. What you do know is you need answers, an understanding of what steps to take and you are feeling desperate, when out-of-the-blue one of your parents in spirit, steps forward and shines a light on the subject.

Tidings of Comfort and Joy

Do you find yourself waxing sentimental when the ‘season of love and giving’ comes rolling around each year? Are you missing that ‘someone special’ and feeling as if your holiday will be inconsequential, incomplete, without their presence?

My memories of holidays gone by are bittersweet. Christmas was my most joyful holiday until the year my mother, Leah, died. It was tough enough to deal with her death which was tragic and ‘out of the blue’, but having it occur two weeks before Christmas hit me hard. I can still to this day, hear her reminiscing about Christmas being ‘our’ favorite holiday.

Set Your Table to Include Your Loved Ones

The holidays are fast approaching and your ancestors and loved ones in spirit long to participate in your family gatherings. I am reminded time and time again of their need to be acknowledged and to be ‘a part of’.

They, your loved ones in spirit, strive to make a connection with you – some do, many do not. I give them credit because they never relinquish that ‘spirit’, they never give up trying. Take comfort in the knowing that they will never give up, no never –not until they connect and communicate with you.

I am also told you can make it a great deal easier for them to connect with you if you tune in and surrender your skepticism. Simply give the possibility of connecting a try. Read More

Hallowed Help

Witches and goblins and ghosts, oh my!
Make sure you sleep with an open eye.

You will want to make sure that you will see,
The souls of your loved ones who will visit thee!

All Hallows’ Eve, when the veil between the world of the living and the dead is the thinnest, making accessibility that much easier, is not the only ideal time for spirits pay a visit. Sure, the energy is ripe for connecting; it’s electrifying, exciting and inviting, if I do say so myself, but it’s not the only time to connect.

Any day, night or day, any season, is an ideal time to reach out, connect and communicate. I can vouch for the willingness and readiness of your loved ones; I sense their desire to spend time with you. Often their desire feels like an imperative. Read More

Numerical Positivity

Seven, eleven, 15, 17… numbers in general elicit my child-like curiosity. I add a string of numbers together and look up their meaning. I save the slip of paper from the deli-counter* and look at the number when I return home, I see messages in numbers on a license plate – you name it, I am intrigued by them and I always need to know the interpretation of that number.

Years ago I purchased Doreen Virtue’s book, Angel Numbers 101, and to this day, I constantly refer to it. Recently I found myself thumbing through the pages to look up the number 25, as a friend of mine was celebrating an anniversary. The angelically guided meaning of the number 25 stated “As you go through major life changes, expect the best and your optimism will be rewarded.”

This immediately brings to mind advice I received during my first AA meeting, over two decades ago…“If you never have expectations, you will never be disappointed.” I’m not sure the angels are suggesting that with their guided meaning of the number 25. Read More

Are YOU Next?

How far are you willing to go to find yourself? Or are you perfectly content with who and where you are?

Have you made amends to those who have gone before you, your family members and friends who may, themselves, be regretting a thing or two?

Why do you keep repeating your less than desirable habits/mistakes? Would you find value in and appreciate having answers to those ‘whys’ directly from your blood line; your ancestors, those who have “been there” and “done that”?

What would you do with your life if you could become that person, the person who in your heart of hearts, you know you are; the person, who is free of misgivings, regrets, remorse and endless questions? The person who had said what needed to be said and who had heard what others needed you to hear. Read More

Bona Fide Independence ~ Booyah!

“Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again but expecting different results.” *

If there is any truth to that quote then there are a high percentage of people in this world who could be categorized as insane. Would you agree?

The more you keep repeating the same patterns, the less your life changes and the deeper the hole in which you live becomes. What is a person to do?

If you wonder why your life hasn’t changed for the better, or why your current situation hasn’t improved, you may want to consider evaluating your current behavior, or taking a different approach to the way you do something. Have you ever stopped to wonder why you may be stuck in an endless loop or why you feel as if you are out of options?

My Father ~ My Inspiration

June 6th marks the day my Dad, Woody, transitioned to spirit. He was a patriot and proud military man, so it was fitting that he crossed over on D-Day*.

Throughout my life, my Dad inspired me. He taught me the value of living in the moment, “crossing that bridge when we come to it”, and above all, remaining positive through thick and thin. Being a full-bred Irish Catholic, he prided himself on being a graduate of ‘Blarney Tech’. He possessed the gift of gab and always made others feel comfortable in his presence. As a devout man of faith, he lived by the credo that his savoir always had his back.

Even as the years passed and time took a toll on his health, robbed him of his vision and his hearing, he maintained his ever so positive frame of mind and indomitable spirit.

My Dad was always there for me. He believed in me even when I was unable to believe in myself. He was Johnny-on-the-spot when I needed advice on how to best navigate through unforeseen challenges both personally and professionally and most especially while I was employed in the corporate world.  Through his support, encouragement and grooming, he unknowingly shared his gifts of diplomacy, patience and stage presence, helping me to achieve my goals throughout life. My Mother ~ My Guide

Once upon a time, many years ago, as I was in deep meditation preparing for a spirit circle, my mother, Leah, came to me. Her question: “What would you do if I told you the reason I brought you onto this earth plane was so that I could help you from the other side?” My response: “What?” (I could not wrap my head around her question.)

She repeated her question: “What would you do if I told you the reason I brought you onto this earth plane was so that I could help you from the other side?”

My response: “How do I know I’m not crazy and hearing voices right now?” (Mind you I had been connecting and communicating with the spirit realm for many years and was used to “hearing their voices”.)

My mother: “Do you trust me?” Me: “Of course I do!” Her response: “Good. Remember how I helped you when we walked the earth plane together? Now imagine what I can do for you from this vantage point.” Read More

Resurrect Your Own Life with Help from the Afterlife

What is the afterlife, you may be wondering. Merriam-Webster defines it as “an existence after death, a later period in one’s life.” Dictionary.com defines it as “a future life, the later part of a person’s life.” I define it as ‘life after life, from life in the physical form to life in the spirit form’. Some refer to the afterlife as life on the ‘other side’.

Janis Joplin* believes there is no such place as ‘the other side’. How would I know what Janis Joplin believes? I know because she told me so. Yes, Janis contributed her own ‘take’ on success to the many stories included in my book The Spirits Speak on Success. Janis believes there is no such place as ‘the other side’ and goes on to say “the other side is not really the other side – we are very much with you on your side – we are simply in another form – free floating, transparent, energy without matter. We are all one, and we cohabitate together. It is not the other side; it is this side without form.”

Is the afterlife a place or a state of being, or both? Read More
