Awareness of animal exploitation began when a friend ridiculed me for my lack of awareness that milk was produced by lactating cows. I had never given that a second thought — and why would I?
I had been blindly going about my life eating animals and drinking their milk.
It took only one click on the World Wide Web to set me on a new path. I began to consume more information and fewer animals. Curiosity fueled my journey, and I never looked back.
There is déjà vu, there is jamais vu and there is even presque vu, but the best of all is “ancestry vu”. It is delightful when you experience déjà vu, jamais vu, or presque vu, however, nothing compares with ancestry vu; viewing a situation through the lenses and experiences of your loved ones in spirit.
Picture this: you are in the midst of a crisis, you’re not aware of how you arrived there, nor do you know where to turn. What you do know is you need answers, an understanding of what steps to take and you are feeling desperate, when out-of-the-blue one of your parents in spirit, steps forward and shines a light on the subject.
Do you find yourself waxing sentimental when the ‘season of love and giving’ comes rolling around each year? Are you missing that ‘someone special’ and feeling as if your holiday will be inconsequential, incomplete, without their presence?
My memories of holidays gone by are bittersweet. Christmas was my most joyful holiday until the year my mother, Leah, died. It was tough enough to deal with her death which was tragic and ‘out of the blue’, but having it occur two weeks before Christmas hit me hard. I can still to this day, hear her reminiscing about Christmas being ‘our’ favorite holiday.
The holidays are fast approaching and your ancestors and loved ones in spirit long to participate in your family gatherings. I am reminded time and time again of their need to be acknowledged and to be ‘a part of’.
They, your loved ones in spirit, strive to make a connection with you – some do, many do not. I give them credit because they never relinquish that ‘spirit’, they never give up trying. Take comfort in the knowing that they will never give up, no never –not until they connect and communicate with you.

Do you think for one moment the tiny, infinitesimal seed focuses on expanding and pushing through the soil, to sprout and grow upward? Do you think it focuses on being the best damn petunia or tomato plant in the universes, or might it simply be following its innate calling? Stepping aside and allowing nature to do her thing?
Do you think the tiny embryo of a bird focuses on feathering out and cracking through that eggshell, to reach skyward and fly? Or does it simply trust its intuition and divine plan, its innate drive or predisposition to one day soar through the skies? Read More

Seven, eleven, 15, 17… numbers in general elicit my child-like curiosity. I add a string of numbers together and look up their meaning. I save the slip of paper from the deli-counter* and look at the number when I return home, I see messages in numbers on a license plate – you name it, I am intrigued by them and I always need to know the interpretation of that number.
Years ago I purchased Doreen Virtue’s book, Angel Numbers 101, and to this day, I constantly refer to it. Recently I found myself thumbing through the pages to look up the number 25, as a friend of mine was celebrating an anniversary. The angelically guided meaning of the number 25 stated “As you go through major life changes, expect the best and your optimism will be rewarded.”
