Those who have lived before us have lessons to share. The following is a direct download from my spirit collective.
Many of us lived our lives to the fullest. We squeezed life out of each and every moment and took care to enjoy the little things in life: love, family, friendships, a roof over our heads, food on the table, someone to talk to and share our moments with.
Life flew by and before we knew it our time on earth had reached its end. It was time to move on and experience something new.
It was living each moment to its fullest that sped up time – the business of doing, the excitement of being – something to look forward to and something to give to others.
Life rushes by and before you know it, you have joined family and friends in the afterlife.
There is never enough time to do everything you want to, although many of us have lived full, rich lives, for which we are grateful. We learned how to enjoy the simple things in life: acts of kindness, compassion in giving and receiving, joyful moments in celebration or bereavement. We couldn’t have asked for more.
Then there are those who watched their lives pass by without making an effort to change one moment or contribute to the greater good. Those who were overcome by apathy or negativity and could not see “the forest for the trees.” It was difficult for them to get out of their own way or find joy in anything.
Sure, they experienced fleeting moments of happiness but they were unable or unwilling to comprehend the benefit of having a positive outlook on life.
Instead, they ticked each day as they watched night turn into the next day and wondered what it was all about…
Do you ever wonder about those who wonder what is it all about and question that if they could have been even a little bit excited about each day, approached each day with a sense of curiosity or desire to learn, or do something new, they would not have dwelled within the eternal question what is it all about, because they would have been living and experiencing exactly what it was all about?
What if each day was approached with a sense of wonder and curiosity?
That is the big lesson we have learned:
- Approach each day with a sense of wonder and curiosity.
- Go out there and learn one new thing each day.
- Build upon that one new thing each day.
Other lessons we have learned:
- Find the joy in learning and sharing what you have learned.
- Appreciate the little things, the simple things in life: a cup of coffee in the morning over conversation with your spouse, partner or friend, the playfulness of young children and/or your animal companions especially when they are noisy and run around and wrestle with each other.
- Look for the good in others – it is there – the kindness, compassion, empathy, and mirror it – magnify it.
- Give thanks for your good health and the good health of your family and friends.
- Be there for others, especially those who may be experiencing bouts of ill-health, financial, spiritual or emotional challenges.
- And above all be love. Give love generously. That includes kindness, optimism, and encouragement. We all need one another and your time on earth is fleeting.
- Be happy – there’s no reason not to be – it is after all, a choice.
- Make a note of each and every lesson you learn as you share them now so that others can learn and pay them forward into eternity.
Life is our best, beautiful teacher. Listen to what it has to teach and enjoy it to your fullest!
♥ For those of you who may be struggling or feeling less than “merry”, reach out – call a friend or family member – you may be surprised by the amount of love which surrounds you each and every minute of your life.
Remember – we are all in this together.
