Do you believe you control your destiny or do you believe your destiny controls you – or, do you believe it’s a little bit of both – a give and take of sorts?
If you were able to control your own destiny – fully – in every aspect – would there be magic, synchronicities, impromptu moments or things done and actions taken “on a whim”?
If your destiny did control you – would you think for yourself, be creative, make your own decisions, or would you be a slave to all that is put before you… a thought processing machine?
Do you believe collaboration, inspiration, independence, interconnectedness and a sense of give and take are far more realistic and appealing?
Yes, we do create some of our opportunities and walk the paths of our choosing, and we also receive gentle nudges to ‘walk this way’ and in doing so, walk directly into new ideas and opportunities.
With whom do we collaborate? Who is our true source of inspiration? And might we be receiving guidance from other realms – say perhaps the spirit realm, thus making it plausible that we are being led by our ancestors and loved ones in spirit? Wrap your mind around that thought for a minute if you will…
Bill Withers sings of leaning on one another – “we all need somebody to lean on” and I am reminded of an expression, “no man (or woman) is an island”.
Though the sentiment “we all need somebody to lean on” makes one feel good all over, for some it remains a struggle to be able to lean on someone else… How many times have you responded to a friend’s desire to help you out with a “No Thanks – I can do this myself.” Not only do you deprive your friend the opportunity to help – you deprive yourself of an opportunity to receive. It is in the receiving that we also give.
If it is success you desire (and who doesn’t want to be successful), then you may want to think about partnering up with someone who will help you along the way. Someone who ‘gets’ you and can help you over the bumps and provide a jump-start when your engine stalls.
Life is a process my friends – let’s set ourselves up for successful one.
