We all have so many thoughts racing around in our minds; it’s challenging to get a clear view of anything at any given time.
Think straight?
How many times have you heard, or said the expression “I can’t even think straight!”?
Think straight meaning what?
In a straight line?
In a linear fashion?
Able to get from point A to point B?
And why not?
Too much on your mind?
Too many unnecessary, irrelevant thoughts on your mind?
Needlessly entertaining energy with matters of which you have little or no control?
Wasting time?
Daydreaming?
Or…
Simply too much clutter?
Is it time for you to declutter your spiritual space?
Clear out the cobwebs?
Clean up the excess waste?
Dust bust your beliefs and make room for whatever else needs to come along?
If our ‘space’ is full – we lack room for new ideas.
We’re not able to invite any new thoughts into the fold – because there is nowhere to sit, or fit…
We can’t see the forest for the trees.
Is it time to spring clean your spiritual space?
You may begin by listing the behaviors you have called forth – the routine actions you take on a daily basis without thought – those actions which take up your time and prohibit you from taking different action.
Like exercising.
If you awaken each day and muck around, filling time with absent minded tasks or routines, then more than likely you are unable to entertain other, more meaningful thoughts. Like how beneficial a good walk around the block would be. Therefore, you don’t even think about lacing up your walking shoes and hitting the great outdoors.
If you fill your time with your daily chores, which in the scheme of things won’t leave a lasting impact in anyone’s life, you restrict or deprive yourself from making time to retreat to your favorite space for an hour’s worth of creative writing… and therefore never get around to finishing your version of the great American novel, which just may impact someone’s life.
And how about carving out time for meditation… 5, 10, 15 minutes a day to sit in total, uninterrupted silence? Imagine what it will feel like to ask all thoughts, non-essential and otherwise, to relax and take some much needed down time so you can free your mind and relax – raise your vibration to that of possibility rather than form?
Now wouldn’t that be the ultimate spring cleaning of your spiritual space?
You may want to allow yourself to free float and let go.
Do not hurry to fill that emptiness with anything but breath.
In this day and age it is quite a challenge to keep our spiritual space decluttered – but that doesn’t mean it can’t be done.
Everything is possible.
In other words – nothing is impossible.
Deciding to do so is the first step,
Disciplining oneself is the next.
And just doing it is the supreme step.
The benefit will far outweigh the ‘effort’ and you may find riches beyond belief in the process.
